2. Discuss the history of the Cherokee Native Americans in Texas. Again dates are important. Discuss the various leaders of the Native Americans and again Sam Houston and Governor Lamar. Where in Texas were the Cherokee before the Trial of Tears (when did it occur?) Where were anglo land grants being given? Could some Native American Cherokee and or other NA.s somehow moved to Texas and assimilated with the anglos moving westward about the same time? Those who try this one may find contradictory information so be sure and cite your sources as you go along. Yes I do mean tell me where the information comes from with either end caps or enumerated and raised. So in this one it is important that you document as you go along where the information comes from. In discussing Governor Lamar's policy please include how he treated the Tejano population as well. In particular Juan Seguin.
3. The Free State of Jones Movie gives a view of what the Civil War was about. Discuss it and give me your opinion on the accuracy of it.
