    The recent court case of discrimination in the hiring process was of Re
iss versus CCH Canadian Limited. Reiss was a sixty years old lawyer. He used to work in the legal departments of the two banks but later on he was laid off as an outcome of downscaling and consequently he established a single practice that was not commercially successful either. Therefore, he had applied for a lawful writing position with CCH Canadian Limited. CCH is a legal publishing company. When he was applying for this position, he did not include some of the information about himself in his curriculum vitae on purpose. This information was about revealing his age to the company and he also gave a salary expectation that was not only lesser than the planned amount but also the amount, which was offered to the effective candidates. Consequently, the CCH requested Reiss to submit the missing information (Alon-Shenker, 2016 p.315).
    When Reiss inquired the CCH about the status of the application, he received an email from the human resources consultant of the CCH, which stated that it is likely for them to move towards candidates who are junior in their experiences as well as salary expectation. This is the basis of the case, which led Reiss to file a discrimination case in the hiring process of the CCH Canadian Limited. When he had filed an age discrimination case against the CCH, he was not completely successful in doing so but got partial success.
