Railway Development Co has decided to two railway routes involving Route A and Route B. These routes will harm the stakeholder of the local community. Stakeholder are the one who have direct or indirect connection with the organization and are defined in five ways, such as: investors of the organization, person or natural habitant exposure to the risk, someone who is in consideration for claim, capacity to benefit or be harmed and capacity to influence the organization. Jones et al. (2018) have discussed that the primary or the direct stakeholders by the decision of the rail route construction will have to face serious consequences.
The rail route A will involve cutting a channel having special scientific importance. There are very areas of scientific importance, therefore the direct impact will be on the local environment and the area, which is the first stakeholder. The area of scientific importance is also used as suitable feeding grounds for the endangered birds; hence, the birds are the second stakeholder getting affected. Those birds were considered to be an important part of the local environment with some potential influences on the local ecosystems. Therefore, the third stakeholder affected by this project will the local ecosystem.
The rail route B would involve the purchase and the destruction of Eddie Krul’s farm, which is one of the most profitable farms in that area. This farm is providing a great support to the local economy by producing great yield crops. Therefore, the fourth stakeholder affected through the construction is Eddie Krul and his farm.
