Content Analysis Assignment ITECH1102 Networking and Security Content Analysis Assignment Overview This assignment has three major aims: · To help students gain good understanding of all ITECH1102 theoretical and practical material. · To encourage students to use content analysis summaries to prepare for tests, examinations and to help their understanding of theoretical concepts. · To encourage students to conduct independent investigation into networking related topics from books, the Internet and through practical investigation. Engagement with this assignment should help students to prepare for the laboratory test (10%) in week 7, the theory test (0%) in week 8 and the end of semester examination (60%). Timelines and Expectations Students are required to analyse the weekly lecture material of weeks 1 to 8 and create concise content analysis summaries of the theoretical concepts contained in the course lecture slides. The content analysis should not exceed six (6) A4 sides of paper. Where the lab content or information contained in technical articles from the Internet or books helps to fully describe the lecture slide content, discussion of such theoretical articles or discussion of the lab material should be included in the content analysis. Suggestions as to possible inclusions in your content analysis will appear in weekly Work Plan documents on Moodle. The aim of this assessment task is to help ITECH1102 students to fully comprehend the course material and hence help them to pass tests and the examination. Learning Outcomes Assessed The following course learning outcomes are assessed by completing this assessment: · K1. Describe and explain the role and function of network connectivity in current computing. · K2. Describe and explain the principles of communication in networks. · K3. Describe the role and functionality of hardware and software entities that contribute to network communications. · K4. Describe and explain the protocols and interactions that implement network communications. · K6. Describe fundamental aspects of cloud computing. · A1. Apply networking architecture knowledge to analyse the networking needs for business. Assessment Details All work submitted must be authored by the student submitting the work or where material from other sources is included it must be referenced using APA referencing. Students found to have plagiarised will be dealt with according to university regulations. Submission Students should submit a single word or pdf file. By the start of Week 10, all students should have completed their content analysis. Students are required to submit their content analysis to Moodle by Friday, September 21, 2018, 17:00. Marking Marks will be available in Moodle and in FDLMarks by the end of week 12 of semester. Functions and related roles performed by network connectivity
Network connectivity helps users to access, collect, share, and use data in all the enterprises. This also means that you communicate with more of your enterprise. Support to organizations to help make better business decisions (or in some cases, the decision itself makes itself) breaks into the smart machine and device technology. Comprehensive systems designed to connect several networking devices such as gateways, router, and switches for valuable sharing of different resources along with other sensitive data/information are referred to as the network connectivity (Hoffmann & Triesch, 2017). Network connectivity gives diverse functions and relevant roles needed in the computing settings. Network connectivity plays a different role in the modernized connectivity environment. Roles played mainly by the network connectivity for the existing environment of the computing are: Network and network sharing the main role is a key role for the network connectivity among connected users. Simply maintaining a secure networking environment also has an important role in network connectivity.
The main functions of network connectivity are as follows:
· Network communication is an important function for sharing regularly used gadgets among diverse clients working on the same network.
· Sharing data with different clients through various clients is also a work of the network connectivity.
· Assure to implement LOS and NOS doe end users is provided by Network Connectivity.
· Sharing of transmission media plus other work resources is also an important part of the network connectivity (Lynch, 2013).
· Creating a very strong environment as a result that resource, processes along with data sharing through supported networks which is the function of the network connectivity.
Network communication principles
Theory and practice is a simple and jargon-free presentation on the basic concepts of networking. Addressing the fundamental technologies and principles related to complex communication systems and network design, communication networks, as well as systems principles, provide models moreover the analytical methods to evaluate their performance. Quality related service concepts related to diverse layers of the protocol stack, including both networking topics and the physical layer, are related to each other to create a comprehensive picture (Manev & Stevenson, 2001). The study includes the major network communication standards or principles that are shown here:
· Structured for the effective education, with the basic principles as well as techniques being presented to more advanced people
