Business to Business Marketing Plan
Introduction of Business-Business Marketing Plan and its Purpose
A business marketing plan is a documented outline incorporated with strategies and objectives to sell the products and services incorporated in the business of an organisation to a third party vendor so that the third party vendor can sell the products and services to a large audience in the market.
The purpose of the business-business marketing plan is to make marketing strategies, by which an organization can convince a third party vendor to sell their products in the market on their behalf.
Overview of Sarah’s Chocolates and its Overall Business Objectives
Sarah’s Chocolates operated in 2014. Sarah’s chocolate is a Victoria based Australian small enterprise. The business of Sarah had started as a small start-up selling artisan, handmade chocolates at the local markets of Victoria, Australia. The business of Sarah has enhanced in the market gradually and Sarah has now build up two new cafes, which sells her handmade chocolates, coffees, hot chocolates and a range of handmade cakes. The business does not operate in other states of Australia. The start-up mostly operates its business in the local markets of Victoria.
The overall business objective of Sarah’s chocolates is to enhance its business and maximize its annual sales by 20% through expanding its market in the larger markets of Australia and increasing its number of cafes to earn more revenues. The main objective of the enterprise is to sell their artisan, handmade chocolates through wholesalers and third party vendors. Sarah’s business objective is select strong third party vendors such as health food shops, boutique chocolate shops and high-quality delicatessens so that her products can reach to a larger audience in Australia.
Business to Business Marketing
Business-to-Business marketing is strategic approach taken by the companies to expand their business in the market. In business-to-business marketing process, the organizations market about their businesses to third party vendors to approach them for selling their products under their brand on the behalf of those organizations.
Sarah’s Chocolates Previous Business-to-Business Marketing Strategies
Prior to the business, Sarah had taken an initial strategy for business-to-business marketing. She had taken the strategy of selling her handmade chocolates to a national health food chain. She used to send emails to the contacts associated with the health food chain. However, her business-to-business marketing strategy went in vain as because she did not receive any response of those emails. There is a significant difference between business-to-business marketing and business to consumer marketing. In business-to-business marketing process, the enterprises market about their business to the vendors so that the vendors will be convinced for selling their products under their brand. On the other hand, in business to consumer marketing the enterprises directly market their products and services to the customers so that the customers will avail their products and services.
Industry Analysis
The handmade products massively affect the Australian chocolate industry. As people of both Victoria and other Australian states are becoming more conscious about their health thus, they are more likely to buy handmade chocolates rather than the processed chocolates. Therefore, Sarah has a great scope of expanding her business in the larger Australian markets and she has also a great chance of convincing the third-party vendors to sell her handmade chocolates on her behalf by implementing an efficient business to business marketing strategy. However, Sarah has to face many difficulties in terms of expanding her business and convincing the vendors in the Australian larger markets as because there are many enterprises in both Australian and Victorian market, which produce and sell handmade chocolates. The three significant handmade chocolate producing enterprises in Australia are Gabriel Chocolate, Jasper &Myrtle Chocolate and Monsieur Truffle.
