Task 1 – Case Overview
This project planning task is undertaken for Manage Your Health Inc. (“MYH”). MYH is a success company in the Fortune 500 list and the company offers varied healthcare related services in the global level. The company is a large organization with full-time employees totalling to 20,000 as well as over ~5,000 part-time employees. In the recent times, MYH reframed its strategic plan to pursue the goals of reducing its internal costs, increasing products related cross-selling, as well as exploitation of newer web-based technologies for helping employees, suppliers and customers working together for the improvement of development as well as delivery concerning the healthcare related products / services.
In supporting and realizing these strategic goals, the company is considering the following project options –

        Health Coverage Cost Business Model
        This project aims in developing an application for tracking healthcare expenses of the employees as well as the healthcare costs of the company.
By way of this application, net savings shall be derived to the extent of $20 per employee annually over a span of four years.
        Development Cost: $100,000
Savings: $20 per employee annually over a span of four years
        Project 3
        Cross-Selling System
        This project aims in developing an application for improving cross-selling amongst the customers.
By way of this application, the company shall benefit with increase in profit to the extent of $1 million annually over a span of 3 years.
        Development Cost: $800,000
Savings: $1,000,000 annually over a span of three years
        Project 4
        Web-Enhanced Communication System
        This project aims in the development of an application for improving development as well as delivery of the products / services for the customers.
By way of this application, the company shall benefit by way of saving to the extent of $2 million annually over a span of 3 years.
        Development Cost: $3,000,000, and 20% of this cost every year for maintenance.
