Dr. Lydia projects some experiences in chapter three and four that are identical with Dr. Otero’s imaginary. At first, the setting up of the myth of the Werewolf in Barrio was the first notion. In fact, there was no such matter with Barrio to have Werewolf but in the thinking of Lydia, it was right there to consume everything (Burns). This was the generation of fear in their minds about the post war proceedings. This fear launched some unwanted thoughts in her mind. It led her to think that she was too small to fight with Werewolf or else, she would not be able to survive.
The second imaginary is about the knowledge construct and the lack of accessibility to proper schooling. At elementary level, she had to suffer on the grounds of least availability of course books at home. This struggle continued until college and she had to find her own way for completing her education. The days of learning were filled with problems. Thus, Lydia had to understand something, for which she was not mentally ready. She was the victim of the post war trauma in this way (Burns).
