Executive Summary
The selected article presented critical aspects concerning employment in Canada followed by the crises. COVID-19 pandemic was a global pandemic, it affected employment status across the globe and Canada is no exception. It would be essential to consider that more than a million Canadians lost their jobs in March. The actual rate and severe rates of unemployment in April both exceeded by 30%. These were in comparison to the national workforce. It has been presented that the crises of this level could have a lasting impact in Canada. Further, even if the sense of ‘normalcy’ might be regained, after-shocks of the pandemic associated unemployment are expected to increase.
