Colosseum is one of the ancient building in the centre of the city, Rome. It is a free standing structure which is one of the biggest amphitheatre. It is built from the quarried limestone with the internal linking of lateral wall of bricks and other stones. Some of the major management accounting concepts that can be used in recreating the structure may include the concept of lean theory, theory of constraints and value stream costing. This will help in recreation of the structure. The management accountant needs to emphasize on the concept of job costing to analyse the costing and the use of different materials. There will be different jobs that will be assigned to the team in the construction of the Colosseum.
Apart from this one of the important concepts that needs to be considered in this is planning, as the colosseum is one of the biggest amphitheatre, recreating the same structure would need proper planning and budgeting in terms of creating the structure. With proper planning budgeting and the use of job costing, the same structure can be recreated with the help of different management accounting tools and concepts.
