Executive summary
Nando’s originated in Australia since 1990 and it had its first opening in Western Australia at
Tuart Hill. From then onwards to 2013, the international casual dining restaurant had its
expansion at a great and noteworthy level and it came with 250 restaurants all over Australia
with more planning of expanding its boundaries in future. This restaurant specialises in Halal
chicken throughout their stores. Now, when it comes to fast food restaurants, people opt for
the choices based on the lingering taste of the delicacies that they had tasted in these
restaurants. So, it can be said that customer satisfaction is an integral part of these restaurants
as they serve various food items in different ways, in innovative style and in unique tastes so
that it is instantly palatable to the customers one hand and on the other hand it also contents
the “taste bud” desires customers at a higher magnitude. In this way, there exists a tough
competition between all these fast food corners regarding attracting customers towards them
by their delicious preparations of various food items. Considering Nando’s, they mainly focus
on Chicken and they make exotic chicken dishes so that their customers keep lingering the
taste of their fast food items. But apart from the taste there are other factors depending on
which the customers opt for various restaurants. Such of these factors are waiting time, brand
image, food quality, cleanliness and hygiene of the stores. In this assignment, satisfaction
level of the customer of Nando’s, ways of enhancing its brand image and customer
satisfaction level will be discussed. This assignment will also focus on the integrated business
management of Nando’s which idealises in maximising its financial value.

Introduction and Research Background
An organisation can only approach ahead if it is able to maintain a structural framework in it
with same focus with the collaboration of all its employees and efficient leadership.
Integrated management system (IMS) of any organisation draws the attention to manage the
business aspects in an affluent and tactical manner so that it doesn’t get diverted from its aim
causing huge financial crisis, dissatisfaction of the customers, loss of resources and harmed
brand image (Kumar et al., 2013). The main aim of the IMS is to integrate all the business
systems and networks of an organisation in a complete framework so that the business is able
to work in the manner of a single unit with unified aims and objectives.
Irwin (2015), opined that Nando’s Sydney has a very flexible cultural environment
incorporated in its working stature so, being a global restaurant the employees who work in
there has different cultural backgrounds which doesn’t interfere their working patterns or
relations with their managers. This helps to maintain a harmonious environment in their
business arena. It has also been noted by Melia (2011), that within a short span of time, the
company’s leadership has been so efficient that the company now ranks as one of the most
preferred fast food restaurants to the people of Sydney.
As per Scott (2013), the marketing strategy of Nando’s is really noteworthy as it targets the
customers who want to have a nice atmosphere around and want to enjoy a nice casual
dining. It always strives to make inventive menu and awesome delicacies that are solely
aimed to satisfy the minds of the customers to their cherished level. They want to ensure to
their customers of a nice experience when they have food from their outlets. They also focus
on the young people aged between 18-35 to provide them with mouth-watering items with
affordable prices and good quality products and services.

There are various strengths of this organisation like serving healthy food to the customers,
their huge number of outlets along with brand recognition and brand awareness throughout
Australia, their rapid expansion due to their franchises programs and last but not the least
their famous invention of Peri Peri sauce that are liked extravagantly by their customers and
is brought in bottles by them (Jones et al., 2015).
In this research, the researcher will conduct a research survey which will help in analysing
the issues which draw more customers towards Nando’s. Both primary and secondary data
will be collected here and they will be verified based on the opinions of the targeted
customers and managers in order to draw a conclusion. It will also help to find out effective
methods with which the business can enhance its prospects to a further level.
