countries since decades. However is today’s dynamic and fast paced business environment, where in
efficiencies have no place, privatization is becoming a norm. Increasingly public owned enterprises are
handing over their reins to private organization to attain the motive of profit maximization and
reduction in budgetary deficits. Here we need to elaborate on the meaning of “Privatization”.Also
referred to as denationalization or disinvestment, basically refers partial or complete transfer of
management control and ownership of an government set up to a privately owned enterprise with
intention of increasing return on capital and eliminating redundancies.
