Delise post Ch. 6 Question: How can the current members of the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park be encouraged to hold their future weddings and corporate events at the venue?  Answer: They can be encouraged by offering deals and discounts. Giving tours of the facilities so they can see what their event could possibly look like. By marketing the venue space and the animal encounter and how it can be offered to the members could also be a way to encourage them to have their wedding or corporate there. They can also host a small free event for members only so they can get a preview of what they get if they have an event there.  Reference(s): Marketing Strategies to Boost your Zoo (plasticprinters.com)   Ch. 6 Question: How might the wedding and corporate clients who hold events at the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park be encouraged to become members?  Answer: Most members get rewards or deals and I think by marketing the venue and letting the clients know that this is the price with and without a membership is a good way to encourage them to become members. They can also detail what is all included in the membership for future visits or celebrations for kids as well. Some members may want to experience the zoo without kids and those could be possible perks that the zoo offers exclusively to members.  Reference(s): Marketing Strategies to Boost your Zoo (plasticprinters.com)   Ch. 6 Question: How might casual visitors to the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park be encouraged to hold their future weddings, corporate, and other events within the venue and to become members and supporters in the future?  Answer: I believe offering discounts and perks to casual visitors will have them sign up for the membership and then have an event or two there. I think you would follow the same strategy you would as the first two questions because at the end of the day you want memberships and events to boost your revenue so promoting and discounting things and offering specials will keep visitors coming and then being members and learning about all of the possibilities for them to have an event at the zoo.  Reference(s): Marketing Strategies to Boost your Zoo (plasticprinters.com) My response here- 100 words Jennifer post Chapter 6, Question1 How can the current members of the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park be encouraged to hold their future weddings and corporate events at the venue?      Through the membership newsletter and email campaigns, weddings and corporate events could be highlighted as a headliner and promoted with a photo layout of the various types of events that could be held, such as weddings, birthdays, anniversary parties, and various types of corporate events, along with offering a discount to members. How events could be customized for their specific event would also be showcased so that each event would be unique experience. The park would research and pull data for the most popular experiences and promote how those can be customized for a once-in-a-lifetime experience such as their photos snapped with wild animals with a trainer, in the gorilla house, or somehow "in the wild,” all without the expense of traveling to distant places. This could also be promoted across all social media accounts, including LinkedIn with hashtags that would help easily bring up the post for those searching for event and wedding venues. Chapter 6, Question 2 How might the wedding and corporate clients who hold events at the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park be encouraged to become members?      On the flip side, for wedding and corporate clients, a promotional discount to become a member could be offered that also highlights that when you become a member, clients receive a discount on events held at the zoo. Member benefits would also be showcased that could include special giveaways and member only events, like preview nights for new exhibits and priority seating at lecture series. The best feature to be promoted by the park is that each event would come with a unique experience that no one else would have. This could also be promoted across all social media accounts, including LinkedIn. Providing all the necessary equipment, supplies, and staff would also be highlighted to showcase how easily events can be held at the park. Chapter 6, Question 3 How might casual visitors to the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park be encouraged to hold their future weddings, corporate, and other events within the venue and to become members and supporters in the future?      For casual visitors, membership tables and booths could be placed in various high traffic locations throughout the zoo that not only promote membership but how corporate events and weddings can be held at the zoo and safari park. Not only can local clients hold events at the zoo but also those traveling to San Diego holding conferences could also hold an event there. What could be also highlighted is how easy the Zoo makes the logistics for putting on such an event where everything is provided, including staff. This could also be promoted across all social media accounts, especially with hashtags that a visitors might use when searching for attractions in San Diego. My response 100 words Damaris post Ch. 6 - Event Vendors as Strategic Partners Question:  How can the current members of the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park be encouraged to hold their future weddings and corporate events at the venue?  Answer: One way the current members of the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park be encouraged to hold their future weddings and corporate events at the venue is by promoting new activities at the park through emails, mail correspondence, social media platforms, etc. This will motivate members to engage in those activities. "Engaging your members can feel like a lot of time-consuming, manual work, especially if your tech stack isn’t updated or integrated. A great member engagement strategy will take work, but it should be work on the right projects – strategy improvements, building creative content, and testing what’s working and what’s not. Instead, many association teams find themselves wasting hours fighting data and pulling manual lists, sending out one-off renewal notices, calling members to ask why they didn’t renew, and so on." (B. Arritt, 2021). For example, some of the activities could take place at the Zoofari party area. They could be able to pet the appropriate animals under trained supervision. Nowadays people seek unique experiences and locations. Therefore, a themed wedding or corporate event at this location could be something out of the ordinary. Thus, videos and photos of previous events could be a great way to grab member's attention to give them an insight on how events were decorated and the activities that were executed.  Question:  How might the wedding and corporate clients who hold events at the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park be encouraged to become members?  Answer:  Wedding and corporate clients who hold events at the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park can be encouraged to become members by offering them a discount on getting a seasonal pass when hosting an event at the Zoofari Party area. Also, another way to encourage clients is by offering them a discounted private guided bus tour when becoming members of the Parks. With this they can potentially be able to pet and/or see wild animals from a distance during the private tour and learn from the professional team about wildlife ecosystems and their goal of ending extinction.    Question: How might casual visitors to the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park be encouraged to hold their future weddings, corporate, and other events within the venue and to become members and supporters in the future?  Answer: Casual visitors can be encouraged to hold their future events within the venue and become members and supporter in the future by marketing the Zoofari party area in social media and informing visitors about their memberships benefits and unique planned activities when hosting an event there. For example, I can see parents hosting their kid's birthday parties or couples hosting a unique themed wedding. Another strategy to encourage membership is to offer a free trial membership for a certain period of time or by trying the strategy of bringing a friend for free or discounted ticket price for an activity at the park.  References: S.
