Uber has become extremely unpopular due to a number of factors. Some of the factors include issues related to safety of the passengers, that of the cost of the car, and that of the management as well. Uber has also been having issues related to taxi and driver unions. All of these factors make Uber extremely unfavourable amongst the customers. However, Uber has excessive funds, which means that they can have promotional activities in Queensland, which the local taxis cannot. Uber also has many innovative marketing techniques, such as Uber Eats.
Management Problem (A clear 1-2 Sentence Statement to establish the key problems identified in the case)
▪The problem is that Uber, though disliked, has a lot of marketing techniques and promotional activities.
▪Uber has managed to lobby the government into creating new ridesharing regulations.
▪They also have Uber eats, which is the food delivery platform of Uber, which drives a lot of customers towards uber as compared to local taxi services.

Causes & Considerations: (Actual Cause/Root of Problem - Analyse key considerations/variables of case)
▪The main cause is that Uber, being an international organization, has a lot of spending power. They have been able to lobby the government into making laws that are in their favour, and using the funds to partner up with local restaurants and in marketing activities, such as promoting the Granny who drives an Uber.
▪The local Taxi companies do not have the spending power of Uber, making them unable to advertise successfully.
