    The p
articipation of United States of America in World War 2 (WW2) was a major event in the history, which not only made the political, social and economic situation different from that of WW1 in a global context but also established America as a superpower. The current essay explores the events of United States’ entry to WWII and the subsequent impact.

    The entry of United States in World War II was a major event in the course of the war and in the current essay United States’ role in WWII is discussed. On 1 September of 1939, the WWII started, when Roosevelt was the United States president. Considering the violence and the adverse impact on economy, US remained aloof from WWII for the first 2 years of the war. Long before the participation in WWII, US signed the Lend-Lease Pack with the Allies powers and offered much-needed commodities to the war ridden countries. After the 1941, US directly were involved in the WWII and offered its support to the Allied powers. The US offered its remaining navy fleet, air forces and the military to serve in the war.
The US army, navy and air force joined events such as The Battle of the Atlantic and helped in forming Japanese Air Force, named Flying Tigers. The surrounding areas of Hawaii, Philippines and New Guinea were heavily fought over by the US army and it ultimately seized the progress of Japan. In the Battle of Midway, the Japanese navy failed to defend itself against the US navy and its offensive (FDR Library, 2016). The question as to why US joined WWII is very easily answerable. The US had ties with the allies through Lead and Lease Pack, which made it an internationally significant country for its supplies to the Allies Countries.
In addition, US also wanted to remain a significant global power, therefore, Japan’s post Great Depression expansion policies were creating power struggle between the two countries....
