The Republicans and Democrats have dominated politics due to them completely diving contrasting beliefs and grouping them into separate forms of ideologies. This caused further division in the country, therefore hindering democracy because there is so much division in viewpoints that whichever law, be it republican or democratic, passes will be the majority’s voice and leaving a large population also unhappy. For example, if there is a majority vote in either one of those two parties, half of the nation’s voices are heard while the other half is not heard.
