Diversity-related activities teach kids to recognise and value the differences in everyone. Learning about other cultural traits provides children with novel experiences. The activities listed below can aid kids in understanding and appreciating diversity:
1. Match it with me ! Children can learn about various skin tones and cultural backgrounds by matching up their skin colours.
· Supplies required: Nylon stockings that are knee-high and come in a variety of colours, such tan, black, white, pinkish, yellow, & red.
· Procedure: During the operation, encourage children to test these nylons over their hands, elbows, or feet. Asking children questions like "Can you find a stocking that matches the colour of your skin?" will help kids become more conscious of their skin tone. Ask children if a different hue is lighter or darker than their own skin tone.
