To achieve this objective, managers need to learn and apply systems thinking tools and techniques. One such tool is “Rich Picture”. Rich picture helps us express our own understanding of the world, the stakeholders to be considered and the impact that they may have our actions. Tools such as Rich picture, CATWOE and Root Definition reports helps us to understand others’ perspectives without getting involved in conflicting arguments of convincing one another about their own worldview. Instructions: This assessment is to be completed individually and is linked to Assessment 1. To successfully complete Assessment two (2) students will write a comprehensive report that helps resolve the problem they introduced in Assessment 1. There are two (2) sections to Assessment 2 1) Rich Picture – Students are to create a Rich Picture of the problem they identified in Assessment 1. This can be hand drawn and should provide an consise overview of the complex system under review. 2) Root Definition report using CATWOE – A Root Definition report is a structured analysis and description of the system being investigated. A Root Definition report explains the what, how and why. A CATWOE analysis can help in the development of a thorough Root Definition Report. CATWOE is a mnemonic that identifys all stakeholders in the system being analysed. CATWOE stands for C- Customers/clients A - Actors T – Transformation Process W- Weltanschauung / Worldview O – Owners E- Environment To successfully complete Assessment 2 both sections must be completed. The above rich picture shows the different issues related to the Macquari
e bank. The MACQUARIE bank is facing several problems in the past few months, which is very disadvantageous for the whole company. The bank is dwelling with some old systems and the new systems are not at all incorporated within the bank. The different types of the modern technologies that can help the completion of the different works in a very less timing is not adopted by this bank, which is creating a severe problem towards the different entities associated with the bank. The major issue that is being faced by the bank in the present scenario is the lower employee retention rate, lower customer retention rate along with the high competition (Anitha, 2016). The bank has no rewarding or incentive policies existing for the employees and in addition to that, they are given extra pressure by the bank due to the fierce competition of the market. Naturally, the employee happiness is not given importance by the bank and thus the employees are resigning from the organisation. This is the reason why the employee retention rate is very high.
As the employee retention of the organisation is so high the services of the banks are not worked out properly. The customers are deprived of various services. The customers are not attended well for which the customers are intending to switch banks. This is very threatening for the organisation. Above all because of the employee retention rate the different investors are not willing to invest their money in this organisation. The different effects of all these activities are faced by the customers. They are not getting enough interest for all their belongings in the bank. Besides that, the banks are not able to keep safe records in the database which is very unsafe for the customers and tier confidential information about their belongings. The customers are opting for the different banks or organisations in order to get more profit for keeping their money or belongings in those institutions (Donthu & Sibley, 2015). Thus, the customer retention rate is reducing as well in the context of MACQUARIE bank.
The major problem along with the above two is the high competition in the market. After the emergence of globalisation, various companies are finding it difficult to survive in the market due to the fierce market competition.
