Introduction
Humanistic psychology is the complete mental state of an individual who always tries to grow and develop psychologically. It concentrates on increasing the self-esteem and self-actualization. In this process one’s personality development occurs. One needs to have a clear self-concept of what they want and how they want it, to achieve self-actualization. It is the last need of a person, which falls under the secondary needs of an individual.
Only when the primary needs such as survival, safety and sense of belonging are fulfilled for an individual, then only such secondary needs tend to achieve. The person then tries to be satisfied mentally by developing their personality. In this topic, I will reflect on the personality of an individual, which they grow in their lifetime.
Personal Behavioral Pattern
Different individual behaves differently through their life. At childhood, they are always playful and behave in a positive manner but as they age, they become more serious and thoughtful towards life. Similarly, a person’s face-to-face interaction and social media interaction differs in behavior and often creates a different personality. For me, I become very excited during online gaming, trying to win it every time.
While texting, I behave much extrovertly though being an introvert person. Social media always brings out a different personality of an individual where they strive for self-actualization and show-off their little achievements. This often helps in the growth and development of one’s personality, which otherwise is not much attractive.
