Assignment Content

  1. You have been asked to develop a presentation that will be shown to your Board of Education informing them of how you developed a curriculum review timeline.

Review the articles and videos listed as resources for this week. I strongly suggest that you read the optional articles as well.

Identify the similarities and differences you find in these resources to help you create a 5- to 7-year curriculum review timeline.

Consider the following as you create your timeline:

    • Which programs are more expensive than others to implement in terms of materials and equipment purchases?

    • Which programs might benefit from going through the cycle together to enhance horizontal articulation?

    • What time is available for the professional development needed to implement programs?

    • Should K-12 programs go through the cycle as a unit to promote vertical articulation, or should they be separated into elementary and secondary programs?

Create an 8- to 10-slide presentation that will explain your rationale for this curriculum timeline to the Board of Education. You may use Microsoft® PowerPoint®, Prezi®, or other presentation platforms. Be sure that your presentation adheres to the
    PowerPoint Best Practices.

NOTE: You are creating a timeline and a presentation to explain your rationale. Submit the timeline with your Powerpoint if you are not including it in your presentation so that it is clear that the presentation aligns with what you actually created.

Format your assignment according to APA guidelines.
