This midterm is open book. There is the expectation that you will use course material (slides/readings/videos etc) to answer the question.
Citing is required, both in-text and using a bibliography. You may choose your citation style (MLA/APA/Chicago etc).
There is no minimum or maximum, but the suggested word length is 400-500 words.
Use only course material- DO NOT use any sources outside of what has been assigned so far. The purpose of this exam is testing your knowledge of course material.
Turnitin will be used- so make sure you write your own midterm and do not attempt to take from any outside sources or use the work of students from previous semesters- these will be given a zero and reported for plagiarism.
Thinking specifically about the topics of (1) ETHICS, (2) ACCOUNTABILITY and the (3) MACHINERY/STRUCTURE OF GOVERNMENT in public administration, discuss what the ideal situation for each of these topics would like. For instance, in a perfect world, what would ethics/accountability/the machinery of government look like? Then, discuss the real-world challenges to each of these topics, that prevent the perfect world scenario from working perfectly
