Create a Learning Infographic based on four areas
1) Your motivations for doing Wicked and how they align to your career aspirations. Watch the Simon Senik's Ted Talk on "Start With Why"
2) Read the three articles in the links provided and choose 3 workplace skills you think you will gain or improve on whilst you are doing Wicked Problems and that will also align with your strengths and career aspirations.
3) Do a google search on the three skills (ie how to be better at collaborating) and develop a checklist of some of the activities and behaviours that you will need to become better at each skill. Make sure you include the three links you have used
4) Think about how you will prove or demonstrate the skills you are hoping to gain. Include four icons that represent things you will be doing in wicked problems that you can use as proof that you have gained a skill along, along with a description. Your icons are just examples and not the actual proof and could include an icon that represents- photos, videos, slide presentations, social media posts, research, brainstorming, prototyping etc. You will include four icon plus a short description of what proof you hope it will demonstrate (ie. This icon represents photos that were taken working in a multi-disciplinary team where we used design methodologies to solve the obesity problem. the photos show me exercised the skill of collaboration, creativity, empathy...etc.
(Remember- this is a plan only. Its an icon of a photo not the actual photo of you. The objective is to get you to think about the skills you want to gain and the proof you will need to show you have it, so that you will strategically work on building the skill and gaining the evidence over the next week. When you come to do your video reflection you will then use the actual photos you have taken and talk about the actual skills you have gained)
Why an Infographic
Use Canva or any other design software. We are specifically using an infographic to gain visual skills that are used in Design Methodologies. For those new to this way of presenting your work, you can simply copy my infographic above and fill in the gaps. Or make your own on Canva
How Long
You can add pages but please no more than 3 pages. There is no word limit and descriptions should be succinct and tie in with all your visuals.
Demonstration
I will take you through this assessment on Wednesday morning
