Background Research:
In parts of educational institutions like classrooms, corridors, cafeteria, and restrooms there are a heavy physical interaction of students and other persons including teachers and others who are engaged in non-teaching activities.
At a certain extent it is possible to maintain physical distancing while moving and walking in areas such as school corridors. But, as soon as the situation changes to restricted physical movement or no physical movement areas of educational institutes like classrooms and cafeteria, there is a need to maintain physical isolation of students with each other so that there is a very low or no chances of virus transmission. Moreover, it is not feasible to allocate only a small quantity of students in classrooms or cafeteria since it can hamper the proper functioning of the education facilities from the side of educational authorities.
The virus transmission can be nullified only by two ways:
· Providing a physical barrier at a safe distance
· Proper sanitization at regular interval
If both of the above points are incorporated simultaneously in seating areas like classrooms and cafeteria it would be considered as a good option for classroom learning since it would facilitate smooth functioning of schools as well as it would be safe for learning.
