HTML Project Learn and design.

To complete this project you will need to following the tutorial on the web below and write the code in HTML (inside a Notepad++ application). Notepad++ can be downloaded for free of the internet.

part 1 - 15% Tutorials and planning

TUTORIALS:Complete the exercises/tutorials on the web:https://www.w3schools.com/ Use Notepad++ to practice these exercises outside of the tutorial. Each of these exercises gives you the solution, so ensure that you understand each exercise and can complete something similar using the code to create something of your own. You need to do this step before beginning part2. This will take approx 6 hours to complete.

PLANNING:Once you have completed the tutorials and are comfortable that you can write HTML code you need to begin the design phase of your own site for development. Therefore complete theBRIEF submissionoutlining your ideas for your own site. The brief is like a (mini) brief business plan. It details your objectives, review the audience for your site, and lays out the 3 pages you will develop using HTML code. This is strictly about your own site and your own plans for the site. Maximum size would be 1 to 3 pages. I'm looking for explanations as to what and why your are designing the site (overall intentions) and pages (why) you have chosen.

part 2 - 15% HTML DEVELOPMENT So use you newly gained knowledge of HTML to create a 2 to 3 pages web site of your own design. Use the knowledge you gained in writing HTML from the exercises above. WRITE YOUR OWN HTML code. NO BOOTSTRAPPING or Machine code allowed. SUBMIT your code on a USB drive to your instructor or to the B439x Student drop box in a sealed envelope, with your name and your instructors name on the outside of the envelope.

GENERAL RUBRIC for HTML part 2 (15%)

1. Demonstration of skills using HTML (is it obvious you did your homework)

2. Overall presentation of the site.

3. Use of HTML and CSS techniques

Global addressing - example (HOME) just use the file name not the full addressing path.

Common techniques incorporated into the site (a general use of things like:)

images

or

some inline CSS or style sheet

Other Extras is everything else not in this list. Like Video, basic java, etc.
