HSLO Downconverter Design an HSLO downconverting receiver that converts an RF signal centered in the 110–170 MHz range to a 30 MHz IF. Your circuit should contain two filters, a mixer and a local oscillator, as shown in Figure 10-75. The bandwidth of the IF filter is 1 MHz, and the signal bandwidth is 10 kHz.

Derive the frequency allocation plan and include • Filter frequencies • RFs • LO frequencies • Image frequencies Show the orientation of the image and LO frequency ranges (i.e., if the receiver tunes from 110 MHz up to 170 MHz, does the LO frequency increase or decrease?).
