You must appropriately reference ALL material which is not your own as otherwise, you may be reported for academic misconduct due to plagiarism. This includes academic references, quality primary sources e.g. Government websites and online articles. The following library links provide examples and guidance regarding how to do this in the Harvard UniSA Style guide and Roadmap to referencing. These links also provide a link to Endnote which is a useful software for storing your references as well as producing in-text citations and the reference list. It is not compulsory for you to use Endnote for your written assignment but it is available as a useful resource if you wish to use it for your referencing. Submission Process The links to the first and second submission will be available in assessments tab on your course page. It is self-explanatory, just follow the instructions. Once submitted, all assignments will be automatically reviewed by a program called “Turnitin” which compares your assignment against all assignments in the Turnitin databases and all electronic resources such as the web or library databases. Turnitin provides a similarity report, showing a percentage for the degree of similarity as well as highlighting the areas of similarity within your assignment. We will review the areas of similarity and suspected plagiarism. This will form part of the feedback for the first submission, however evidence of academic misconduct in the final submission will be referred to an Academic Integrity Officer who have the authority to fail your assignment refer you higher. MARKING CRITERIA Students are required to focus on the principle of having a critical approach and producing a sound piece of academic writing, instead of focusing on what “answers” to include. In this assignment, the assessing tutors have a greater interest in the writing process and style, than the content itself. This is reflected by the weighting in the marking scheme (please see rubric below). This task has multiple steps.
