How is a paired-samples t test similar to a single-sample t test?

In paired sample t-test, we defined d = pair-wise differences. And then we
conduct a single sample t-test on the sample of d (i.e, the sample of pairwise
differences)
Assumptions are similar, in single sample t-test, we need that sampling distribu-
