Introduction
This research paper describes about the detail problem of the history of psychology that
have a great impact on the historical methods. For this paper, the problem related to the history
of psychology is selected as “problem in writing a history of psychology”. This is a major
problem in the history that arises several questions. This problem is a scientific problem that
generates the issues for the writer to write about the history of psychology.
At the same time, in this problem some question arises such as where to start the history,
what to include, which is a most appropriate approach and what is the need of the study of the
history of psychology. All these questions are important to discuss in this paper so that it can
help to determine the problem in the detail.
Thesis Statement
In this paper, a thesis statement is included that would be effective to articulate a tentative
resolution of the problem related to the history of psychology. The thesis statement is considered
as follows:
“The history of psychology have some problem related to the writing the history and to
store psychology for further research”
Research Methodology
In this paper, both primary and secondary data can be used to improve the effectiveness
of the study. The primary data discusses considers the information that is generated first time to
the study and it do not have any existence before this study. This research is a quality research
that includes information and data related to history of psychology (Shiraev, 2010). The primary
and secondary sources are important to consider in this research to improve its effectiveness and
to provide proof of evidences.

Primary and Secondary Data
In this, primary sources are used to obtain the information and data from the primary
data. This data is quite significant and more real that are gathered from several persons directly.
In this paper, primary data are collected from the survey methods that is done online basis. To
support the views of these sources, it selects the primary data from the online library of the
survey that are conducted for getting the information related to the history of psychology (Brock,
2006). The online survey method includes several people and their views on the relevant
problem, so mainly three people are selected to discuss the problem of history of psychology.
Tom Gunning, Gary J. Kornblith and Linda Shopes discussed about the history (Kruglanski and
Stroebe, 2012).
On the other hand, there is some other method of data collection method also used to
collect the information. Secondary data collection method is another method of data collection
