ITECH2108 Advanced Network Services Student Task Proposal Description The Research Report assignment is based on a set of task proposals from which you may select exercises to make up your submission. Some of you may have specific activities that interest you. Subject to agreement from the Course Coordinator student-proposed activities could be submitted as part of this assignment. Submission Requirements Any student-proposed task that is accepted will be posted along with all other tasks. You will need to follow all the submission requirements defined in the task itself and the assignment sheet Task Proposal Guidelines The tasks proposed need to be of the same general nature as those set by us: The task must involve some practical application of theory that you have learnt in class or extension of that theory. It is not sufficient simply to write about something. The difficulty and originality of the task should at least be a small extension of lab work that you have already been guided through. You might look at a lab task and then think about some extension of that task. You must propose some evidence (often an Ethereal capture) that you will present for completion of the task. The ultimate decision as to the marks to be assigned to the task will be made by a staff member – but you are free to suggest what the task might be worth.
