Executive Summary
This project is made on the Topic “E-commerce and E-business and their roles in today’s world of business”. In the project we will be discussing what is the meaning of E-commerce and E-business, how they are interrelated and what is their role in current business scenario and environment. Today the first thing which comes to mind when we listen word e-commerce is online shopping. E-Commerce has become very powerful these days and growing at a larger pace all over world. E-Business is a much wider term than E-commerce.
Introduction
Electronic Commerce (EC) means a process in which products are bought and sold and services are availed and provided via computer networks. EC is described as processes of business, online services, collaborations and community etc. E-Business is a very much wider term than EC. EC not only includes purchase and sale of goods and services, but in addition also includes after sales services to maintain the relation with the customers for future and satisfy them at the fullest.

The diagram below illustrates that the E-business is a very wider term and E-commerce is just a part of E-Business.

E-Commerce can be defined as the internet use for undertaking the business which involves various activities. E-commerce is basically purchase and sale of various products, availing and provision of services etc. There are various modes of E-commerce such as Business to Business(B2B) , Business to Consumer(B2C), Consumer to Business(C2B) etc. E-commerce breaks the geographical barriers and anything can be purchased from anywhere at anytime.
