Assessment Description. The purpose of this creative brief is to develop your ability to critically evaluate current IMC programs and to provide solutions based on learned IMC theories and concepts. This is a great opportunity to use your creativity and practice the delivery of your business solutions within a safe learning environment. Your task is to create and redesign an advertisement that fulfils the company’s communication objective/s in relation to brand recovery and consumer confidence. Background of the task:
Woolworth has been chosen as the main market for analysis of advertisement in assessment 1 so in continuation to it Woolworth has b
een considered here as well for creation and redesigning of an advertisement that will try to fulfill Woolworths communication objectives in relation to recovery of their brand name and satisfaction of the customer.
The 4Ps of marketing mix have been considered in assessment 1 to analyze the existing marketing strategy of Woolworth. The 4Ps included:
1. Product
2. Place
3. Price
4. Promotion
In the current IMC practices it has already been discussed that 4Ps are now replaced by 4Es as stated below:
1. Product has been replaced by experience
2. Evaluation has taken the place of price
3. Place is replaced by expertise
4. Promotion is replaced by education
Redesigning of advertisement is important to fulfill company’s communication objective and consequently improve brand recovery and consumer confidence.
Strategy Statement:
The objective of this report is to redesign the existing integrated marketing communication strategies of Woolworth.
This will help Woolworth gain more competitive advantage in market in terms of brand image and consumer confidence.
The strategy planned revolves around the 4C’s by (David Pickton and Amanda Broderick, 2001):
1. Complementary: while redesigning it is must to understand that every element of the brand communication plan supports the other elements. The communication style should be supportive.
2. Continuity: communication must be connected and consistent throughout the places over time.
3. Consistency: it should be understood that all the messages for brand recovery support each other. The messages used must not be contradictory.
4. Coherence: communication carried out in any form is logically connected and stuck to each other.
