Hi Students.
Good versus Evil is a popular theme in literature and Dante's work is probably the most important of all of the works in this battle. You will note that there are three distinct parts in our discussion this week, and it is important that you develop each part fully.
Part A asks you to find a peer reviewed article in our library. Once you locate a suitable argument, you will create a full reference citation and annotate it. Annotation is not a simple summary. Instead it is based on the author's thesis, main points and specific details, reasons and examples to support this thesis.
Part B asks you to pick out 3 sins from the assigned readings. You can also include the one that you chose. List them from bad to worse.
Part C asks for a paragraph devoted to each sin to justify your ranking, Make sure that you develop each paragraph fully in your justification.
Finally,we need to have you attach your peer review essay in your post. Usually on the article site there willbe a link to click on a pdf. Save the Pdf to your computer and then attach it.
In you peer responses, you need to respond to the essay that the studentattached

The eternal conflict between the good and evil has been the central point of discussion in De
Monticelli’s article on Dante’s Inferno. Primarily, De Monticelli has focused on the sin of wrath
and has tried to explain how complicated the sin is in respect of its location in hell. Wrath has
been considered in Dante’s Inferno as one of the greatest vices and it has secured a central
position in the moral topography of Dante’s work. Wrath, as per the analysis of De Monticelli, is
the gateway to the greater degree of sin and that is the reason why the author has argued that in
Inferno wrathfulness is situated at the borderline just between the higher and lower Hell only to
reveal the importance of wrath as a primary sin committed by human soul. Through the
explanation of the significance of wrath De Monticelli has transformed his article into an
imperative one and has thereby enabled the readers to understand the reasons behind the long-
drawn conflict between the good and the evil.
