Sustainable Development
The most common definition of sustainable development is meeting the needs of the present without compromising on the needs of future generations. To protect better their future generations, countries focus on social, economic and environmental development as parts of sustainable development. Developing economically ensures growth without environmental damage. Similarly, social development means bringing together people, cultures and communities across the globe and distributing equally among them, their fair share of education and healthcare. Another aspect of social sustainability globally is the fight for gender equality.
Environmentally speaking, its sustainability ensures protection from abuse and using resources naturally. Key aspects of environment protection include developing renewable energies (Rubenstein 2014-30), supporting sustainable mobility and saving water. When Less Economically Developed Countries (henceforth LEDC) are designated, sustainable development there is planned by prevention of poverty, hunger and inequality, promoting collaboration and understanding among major agents of the society into creating a peaceful environment which is also sustainably developed. Major goals also include innovating at a rapid pace and developing infrastructure such that cities and communities can consume sustainably.
