Or maybe I’m interested in ‘The Managerial Environment” and I notice that every week in my workplace, they hold a stand-up meeting to talk about how they’ll deal with the supply shortages. I might like to propose a research topic like “How does the current external environment affect managers?” (this is quite broad… and you might want to be more specific like “How does the external environment affect the managerial function of organising? Or Controlling?). Keep looking at interesting things affecting a business you either work at or interact with (might just be your local supermarket store!) – until you find something interesting that you want to know more about!
