Dear CSE2DBF/CSE4DBF Students, This document lists the detail information on CSE2/4DBF final examination, which will take place during the University’s official examination period (between 21 October and 4 November 2020). Please read this document carefully before attending the examination. 1. Examination Time According to the university examination timetable (https://www.latrobe.edu.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0009/828576/Timetable_FNL_SEM_2_2020_V2.p df ), the final examination for our subject has been scheduled on Monday, 02 November 2020 between 09:00 AM and 02:15 PM. The examination paper will be visible on the LMS and completed examination can be submitted within the timeframe using a submission link. Please note no submission will be accepted after 02:15 PM on 02 November 2020. All times in this document are Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT). 2. Preparation for the Examination Before the examination starts, please ensure that (1) you have a stable Internet connection. (2) sit the examination by using a desktop or laptop computer. Do not take the examination using your mobile phone. This is due to the limitation of the LMS. (3) if you are using a mobile phone to provide internet access, ensure that your phone has sufficient battery and data. 3. Instructions for the Examination The examination has 15 minutes reading time which is from 09:00 AM to 09:15 AM, and 5 hours to write your answers on a document and submit using the submission link on LMS. [email protected]) During the examination: (1) Download the question paper from the following area on your LMS page: Note that the link has a dummy file for now. On the day of the exam, the link will be updated with the actual exam question paper just before the scheduled start time. (4) Write your answers on the provided answer sheet (a Microsoft Word Document). The answer sheet can be downloaded from the following link (contains another dummy file for now). (5) Upload the correct version of the file containing all your answers through the following link on LMS (just below the answer sheet): Keep in mind, the link will expire at 02:15 PM and no other submission will be accepted. You are encouraged to submit your answer when you have finished writing and revised your answers. Do not wait until the last minute to upload. (6) The total time for writing the answers and uploading them using the link, is 5 hours (excluding the reading time of 15 mins). 4. Examination Venue You are allowed to sit the examination at your home or any other place of your preference. [email protected] 5. Handling Unexcepted Circumstances While we expect that the online examination will go through smoothly, there may be unexcepted circumstances. These can be internet interruptions or interruptions of any other types. If happens during the examination, the suggestion is that (1) construct an evidence. Take a screenshot (or a video clip) to record the problem and note the time. (2) continue the examination if possible. (3) if necessary, apply for special consideration (https://www.latrobe.edu.au/students/admin/forms/special-consideration) immediately after the examination. 6. Maintaining Academic Integrity during Online Examination Although the examination is conducted online and in an unsupervised fashion, students are required to demonstrate Academic Integrity. (1) During the examination, use allowable materials only and do not seek assistance from other sources. These include o seeking solutions (or partial solutions) from the Internet o discussing answers with another person o using a calculator (if not permitted) (2) The examination question paper including individual questions are properties of La Trobe University.
