Personal support providers work with the elderly and provide them support with their daily activities. Job description for a personal support provider is required so that there is clarity and smoothness in the working an dneither the patient nor the personal support worker feel bad about working together. The job description prepares both the client and worker for their taks beforehand and this ensures better results. When two people have to work together or rather stay together in harmony then it sbecomes essential for them to be clear about the tasks they would be doing. Thus, both the elderly and the personal support provider would be in sync with each other.
A work colleague has asked you to do something that it outside the training you have done. What would you do?
On being asked to do something that is outside my training, I would tell my work colleague that it would not be right or appropriate to do that work. I would rather discuss the matter with my colleague and then we both can arrange someone for th etaks who is well trained for that particular task. Doing something outside of the training zone can lead problems for the person as well as the patient and thus should be avoided.
