Hey, its a grade 11 maths assignment, can someone do it for me, i need it by tomorrow

#1 Write your OWN equation of a parabola in factored form: Pick and “a” value from one of these : 2, -2, 3, -3 Pick an “r” value from one of these: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 Pick an ”s” value from one of these : -1,-2,-3,-4,-5,-6,-7,-8 RULES FOR PICKING “r” and “s” : · They can’t be exact opposites. ( example: 3 and -3 are not allowed) · They must both be even or both be odd ( examples: 3 and -5 are good , -6 and 2 are good, 3 and -8 are bad) ANSWER : My equation is ________________________ [ As an example, your answer could be : y= -2 ( x - 1)(x + 7) ] #2 The zeros of my parabola are: x = ______and x = _______ [ Using the same example, your answer would be “x = 1 and x = -7” ] #3 The equation of the axis of symmetry of my parabola is : _________ You get this by calculating the average of the zeros. [using the same example, your answer would be “x=-3”. This is because he average is #4 My parabola ( choose one ) “opens up” or “opens down” :__________________ [In this example, the answer is “opens down”, because the “a” value is negative. #5 My parabola has a (choose one) a “maximum” or “minimum” value. [In this example, the answer is “maximum”, because the “a” value is negative. #6 The maximum or minimum value is : ____________ You get the y-value by substituting the x-value you just found into your equation. [ In this example, we write the answer as: “y = 32” ] #7 The vertex of my parabola is: ________ These are just the x and y values that you just calculated. For example, if you found x = -3 and y = 32 , then your answer should look like this: “V(-3, 32)”. # 8 The vertex form of the equation of the parabola is _____________ Your answer should look like this y = a(x -h)^2 + k (typed version) Or like this (handwritten version) For example: if a = -2, and the vertex is (-3,32), your answer would be y = -2(x+3)^2 + 32 or Please put some spaces before and after the “+” “-” and “=” signs in the typed version. It’s just easier to read that way. # 9 The standard form of the equation is: ____________________ Your answer should be in this form : y = ax^2 + bx + c or [ In this same example the answer would be “ y = -2x^2 - 12x +14 “ or ”” You can get this in two ways: Method #1 : Expand and simplify your original equation. For example y = -2(x -1)(x +7)=-2(x^2 +7x -x -7) y = -2(x^2 + 6x - 7) y = -2x^2 -12x + 14 Method #2: Expand and simplify the vertex form: y = -2(x+3)^2 +32 =-2(X^2 + 3x + 3x +9) + 32 y = -2 (x^2 + 6x + 9) + 32 y = -2x^2 -12x -18 + 32 y = -2x^2 - 12x + 14 Note that both answers should be exactly the same. #10. My y-intercept is : _________ [ in this example, your answer would be “ y = 14 “
