Here are a few happiness exercises suggested by Martin Seligman to help people increase their happiness: Write a gratitude letter in which you thank someone you never properly thanked before. Meet with the person and read your letter aloud. At the end of each day, count your blessings and write them down. Keep a flow diary in which you keep track of activities in which you experience flow. Take a half an hour, without interruption, to focus on your own pleasure. Perhaps take a walk in the woods or a bubble bath. Take a risk by moving towards a heartfelt but somewhat scary goal (Hoffman, 2010).
