My project is aiming to find ways to cut down high health care cost in the hospital by reducing the number of unnecessary medical tests. The cost of healthcare continues to increase despite most people having health insurance. Most health insurance plans require patient to pay a portion of the health care cost in the range of 20%. At times resources are wasted including human, equipment, supplies and medications that could decrease health care costs if this waste was controlled.  This includes unnecessary tests being ordered. I will be doing a research on strategies to cut down health care costs related to unnecessary medical tests, while presenting patient with quality care by reducing waste in resources related to unnecessary tests. My audience will be the physicians, as they are the ones ordering unnecessary tests.
