Hi
As you will find from the file which I attached about assignment, instruction for market
research report .Then you will find 4 requests which have to write but just you have to write
about Q3, which is related about what are the attitudes of the target group towards porridge
and the different proposed Flavoured toppings, and then you will find the data which I

collected for questionnaire about attitudes and compared by group (year of study and age).
Our focused for 1 year.
Please you will find all the data for questionnaire and then now you have to analysis data
considering on the following question and all you have to use sometimes excel chart.
3. What are the attitudes of the target group towards porridge and the different
proposed Flavoured toppings?
What I am request from you to write related to the question above
1- Data analysis:
2- Recommendations, Conclusions & Limitations:
3- Executive Summary: After you finish the above request, please then start write 10
lines executive summery.
You have to write about this from 4 to 5 pages.
DATA ANALYSIS:
In our study of the attitudes of the target group towards porridge and the different proposed
Flavoured toppings, we shall first consider the descriptive form of statistics, to study the
pattern of the observed data, based on the questionnaire. In our analysis of the attitude
towards porridge we have used five sub-questions i.e. Exciting, Light, Healthy, Tasteless,
Unfashionable each with a six point scale i.e. 0 to 5. Similarly for analysis of the appeal of
the flavours of such toppings, we have again used five sub-questions i.e. Summer Berry Jam,
Pear and Ginger jam, Chocolate and Lime Marmalade, Cranberries with mixed fruit and nuts,
and Honey with mixed nuts each with a six point scale from 0 to 5. In our analysis, we shall
also lay focus on the current educational level of the respondents which we consider in 1
year, 2 year, Final Year, PG and staff, and also the age of the respondents.
We shall start our analysis, with considering the descriptive first. We have responses from
442 respondents, however, in few of the questions or sub questions, we also have missing
data, and as such we proceed with the available data.
1. Majority of the people when asked about rating their attitude towards porridge based
on excitement have given a 3. This means that they are neither bored nor excited
about the porridge. However still the next higher numbers of respondents have rated
lower than 3. The least number of people feel they are excited about the porridge.
2. Majority of the people when asked about rating their attitude towards porridge based
on the lightness, gave it very low ratings, i.e. they feel that the porridge is not light
and has a filling effect.
3. As far as the health effects were concerned, almost 70% of the respondents’ attitude
shows that they feel that porridge has healthy effect with majority of rating at 4 & 5.
4. When asked about taste, almost 50% of the people have shown bias towards, it having
no taste, or it being slightly tasteless feature.
5. Similarly, majority of the people, are still in-determinant about the fashion quotient of
porridge, however the bias remains towards those who feel that it is unfashionable.
When the relation between the above attitude towards porridge and the education status was
checked using the chi-square test, we observed the following:
1. Excitement: There is no significant relationship between this attitude towards porridge
and the educational level or year of study.
2. Light: Similar to above, there is no significant relationship between this attitude and
year of study of respondent.
