Healthcare Organization ABC has set an annual meeting to report on its performance and disclosed to the public. Unfortunately, its performance was poor as shown in its Balanced Scorecard. Also ABC addressed its major gap in achieving safe healthcare practices as was evident by increasing rate of medical errors and increased filed complain by care receivers against healthcare providers. The top management of the organization decided to improve their performance and to go through the accreditation process as a tool to improve their organizational performance. Furthermore, the ABC organization decided to formulate its own “Priority Safety Practices” (PSPs) to achieve Safety Practices in Healthcare. The Board of the organization assigned a Quality & Safety Committee to put the Operational Plan to do these PSPs.
