Examples of bias can easily be found in language. o Subjectivity: A good podcast, radio clip or blog pays careful attention to not let subjective ideas and opinions impact the impartial tone. o Opinion: Opinions expressed in podcasts, radio clips or blogs need to be balanced with facts. o Objectivity: Being objective in a podcast considers balance, bias, subjectivity, opinion, and representation to allow the viewer to come to their own conclusions about an issue. If a podcast, radio clip or blog fails to remain objective, then they risk losing credibility with their audience. o Impartiality: The language used to describe the individuals and issues being discussed in a podcast, radio clip or blog needs to be impartial. If the tone and language is too impartial, then a podcast risks bias. o Credibility: A credible podcast, radio clip or blog will use facts sourced from resources that are checked for accuracy. o Evidence based: Evidence-based practice means the conscientious use of the best practices available. Treatments that are scientifically proven to produce positive results.
