Introduction
     African-American LGBT community is part of the international LGBT culture as well as the African-American culture. LGBT stands for lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgender. The African-Americans have to face lot of discriminations and racism in America by the Caucasians. The LGBTs of the black community is deprived from the government policies in many aspects such as healthcare, education and employment. The acceptance of African-Americans is lesser to the Caucasians in America. Therefore, the African-Americans have prejudices about revealing their identity of being a part of LGBT community because if they reveal their identity of being a part of LGBT community they will be discriminated not only by racism but also by their sexual preferences. The African-Americans believe that the acceptance will be less in the society if they reveal their identity of being a part of the LGBT community. LGBTs of the black community feel more intimidated. In this assignment, we will study about the prejudices of African-American LGBT community in the society.

    African-Americans are constantly being discriminated by racism in America. Caucasians are more accepted in the society than the African-Americans. Therefore, when the African-Americans reveal their identity of being a part of LGBT community they will be discriminated not only by racism but also by their sexual preferences. Being a part of LGBT community is not that acceptable in the society even now. LGBTs of both white and black community face discriminations due to their sexual preferences. As stated by Linscott and Krinsky (2016), the heterosexuals discriminates the homosexuals and labeled them as different. The level of discriminations increases for the African-Americans when their sexual preference goes for the same gender. African-American Transgender is far more discriminated than the African-American gay and lesbians. African-American transgender are still struggling for the acceptance in the society. The government has also unfavorable policies towards the LGBTs of black community (Trahan Jr & Goodrich, 2015).

    African-American LGBT community is not only part of the international LGBT culture but also a part the African-American culture.
