“Golden Poultry” is a private company established in Pakistan since 1998. The company is using excel for maintaining all accounts activities like cash flow, purchase, sales, financial transactions, classifying, summarizing, net results, analyzing financial data etc. Administration manages all activities using excel, word, and emails. Whereas Inventory Control and Stock Management is using a customized application to keep the record of the chicks in farms.
Chick’s hatching is separate department which is responsible to carefully handle and select the best eggs for hatching. Special doctors examine each egg and give statistics about the health and quality of the eggs. Company has 5 hatching facilities all over the Pakistan and which have capacity to hatch 15000 eggs in each facility. Each egg that is selected for hatching is bar coded to keep the record of successful hatching and chick’s health monitoring.
When new born chick arrive at the farm, they are very carefully monitored. There are automated feed, water and temperature control systems working in each farm. Company has 25 farms in separate locations which provide chicken and eggs to market. A medical department specialized in Chicks is involved in all phases of chicken production. They are responsible for health, quality, feed and medication of the chicken. Chickens are selected by the medical team on the basis of type of breed, ability to gain weight, disease immunity and feed consumption for breeding (parent stock), layer (egg layers) and broiler (for meat).
Sales and marketing is responsible to analyze the demand of the market and provide poultry products to market. They make sure that their product maintains high value and demand in the market, so they can compete with rival companies and poultry farms. IT department manages all the computer hardware, softwares, and network in company throughout Pakistan.
