Jenny to obtain Martin’s medications. This goal was established collaboratively between Jenny and
the social worker, and is achievable so as not to set Jenny up to fail (Kirst–Ashman & Hull 2012).
Objectives
1. To obtain an emergency relief payment to purchase Martin’s medications immediately
(short–term).
2. Jenny to establish a budget to allow for Martin’s medications when she gets paid (long–
term).

emergency relief payment this afternoon (24th May 2012).
2. Jenny to attend appointment this afternoon (24th May 2012).
3. Jenny to go to pharmacy and purchase Martin’s medications this afternoon (24th May 2012).
Objective 2
1. Jenny to establish her income and expenses within the next week, before next appointment.
2. Jenny to complete a budget within the next week and bring back to discuss with the social
worker at next appointment (31st May 2012).
