Assignment 1: 1200 word essay
Due July 23, 2021
This assignment is worth 20% of your final mark. Essays should be no less than 900 words and no more than 1500 words. You word count does not include your reference list.
Topic: Globalization is a part of our everyday lives. Discuss how this is happening using ONE of the following categories:
a) Socially and culturally,
b) Environmentally, or
c) Economically
Essays can be submitted via the
Blackboard portal
by 23.59 hr on July 23, 2021. Late essays will be docked 5% for each day late. Essays submitted more than 7 days late will not be marked.
Essays must be in either Word or pdf
format.
Your marked essay will be returned by email upon your request.
Essay advice:
Since you are working with a very limited word count, consider examining one aspect within the category that you choose. For example, if you choose the environment then you might write about water, or the Anthropocene; if you choose social and cultural then perhaps you would write about the benefits of multiculturalism, if you choose economics then an example of inequity created by globalization. The choice is yours; these are suggestions that may help you frame your essay.
