What are GMOs?
    Genetically modified organisms, more commonly
known as GMOs are organism whose genome has been altered by scientist to produce a phenotype that is advantageous to humans. Artificial selection has led to the formation of high yielding crop varieties to hairless cats using various molecular biology techniques such as DNA recombination, Crispr Cas 9 techniques and other DNA technologies. Altered DNA is then transferred to the organism of choice generating selection of desired traits and further breeding of the subsequent generations. GMOs have found greater potential in the formation of genetically modified crops and animals (Oeschger & Silva, 2007).
