The workers having close interactions with older people should demonstrate some certain skills. At first, they should
make eye contacts while communicating with older people; this is the first point of showing that the attention is being paid to what they are saying. Secondly, the workers should reintroduce them with a positive handshake with them. The initial rapport is very important. The older people do not like when they are not given ‘enough space’ in the conversation. Thus, as suggested by Briggs et al. (2018), older people should be given proper hearing when they have to say something over an important concern, which they need to address them.
In other words, in order to avoid any aggression to occur in their behavior, the healthcare worker is supposed to follow the space policy that is the chances of speaking frequently in the conversation. The next significant aspect can be related to the sitting adjustment with older people. While having communication, the healthcare workers should prefer sitting next or in front of the old person. It gives the impression that the person is having dignity and the healthcare professional is valuing his concerns. A positive use of words of appreciation is essential so that they can be made to realize their own potential and confidence in a convincing manner.

There can be specific circumstances and condition in which, adherence to the personal style of communication is anticipated on behalf of the healthcare worker engaged with older people. These conditions are driven from the practical scenarios that healthcare professionals encounter on regular bases.
