Ø It should be 8-10 minutes in length and capture the most salient aspects. Ø You will need to prepare the visual content as well as the spoken content.
Ø When creating video, regardless of the method of producing the video, it is essential to start with a plan. The plan should include the following:

Video Recording Using Power Point Tools
After you have planned your video as described above, you will produce the video using Power Point as indicated below. Since Power Point is a ubiquitous tool that is also available and supported by the University at Albany, I am requiring that your video presentation be created using Power Point and the instructions below.
1. Createapptslidefileasdesiredfollowingthegeneralguidanceabove.
2. Addnarrationtopptslidesusingyourscript.
(Basically, you will record the screen using recording tools embedded in Power Point as you advance your slides while carefully and clearly reading your script)

(This is like saving the narrated file as a video
The key idea or purpose of the video
The critical concepts, relationships, and ideas related to the key idea or purpose for the video
Carefully planned visual content that reinforces the concepts, relationships, and ideas (avoid text as much as possible – focus on imagery, charts, diagrams, figures – put your text in the script)
Carefully drafted script to include concise discussion of the key idea, concepts, relationships, and ideas as well as some description of the visual content so that student with vision impairments can benefit from the details of the visual content
