Galaxy Orientation Here is an opportunity to compare an image in the text with one in Starry Night Enthusiast™. Select Favourites

 Galaxies Local Universe from the menu. Open the Find pane and type “M74” in the search box without pressing the Enter key. Click the “” button immediately to the left of the label for M74 in the list of found objects. Click the menu button to the left of the bottom entry in the list for M74 in the search list and select Go There. This will take you to an image of the galaxy shown in Figure 16-4b in the text. Do not move the screen image yet. Describe the appearance of the galaxy in the text and then describe the appearance of the galaxy on the screen. Describe how these two views of the same galaxy (book and program) are similar and how they differ. Write an explanation for the difference in appearance. Now use the Location Scroller (hold down the Shift key while holding down the mouse button and dragging the mouse) until you see the galaxy on the screen face on. Determine whether or not the galaxy on the screen is the same as the galaxy shown in the text. Explain how you make this assertion.
