Ask your college or university research librarian if the library provides student access to Lexis/Nexis or another full-text news archival service, or inquire if the library provides student access to an abstract news archival service. Using one of those services, spend an hour exploring the information database. Look up a news story of interest to you and see how different publications reported it. Look up a business or nonprofit organization of interest to you and see how many news articles have been published about it.
